A rootless, dimension-hopping musician with a yen for novel experiences. Mun & Muse are both 21+ Abby grew up in a ‘small-town’ bubble universe and hopped the first wormhole out when he hit majority. He hitched his way to the nearest metropolis, a multi-universe hub, by paying his way washing dishes at waystations. Once at the metropolis, he acquired both a tattoo and a universe-tuning implant. A decade later, his implant works sporadically at best, and he’ll often use the fact that it’s on the fritz to stay in a particular universe longer than he originally planned. (He really only tries to ‘fix’ his implant when he needs a quick exit.) Somewhere along the way he acquired a beat-to-shit guitar, an ear for local melodies, and a tendency to never say no to new experiences. His memory of how different universes ‘sound’ lets him tune his implant and return… if he ever feels the need. |

To the extent that we even understand string theory, it may imply a massive number of possible different universes with different laws of physics in each universe, and there may be no way of distinguishing between them or saying why the laws of physics are the way they are.
